Dear teacher members,
Once more we contact you, through our first Newsletter this year,  to inform you about our Association’s activities and the events to come.


We are planning our Annual Seminar on Phonetics; to be held on Saturday, August 22nd. You will learn all about it soon but keep the date in mind!  We are also very pleased to announce the revamping of a new SIG! Thanks to Analía Kandel’s creativity, we will soon open a SIG related with state of the art technology for teaching. We will be meeting this year for a SIGs opening, on April 25th at SBS (SBS new branch: Av. Córdoba 1840) and we are looking forward to seeing you all!

This is a very special year, as in October, at our AGM, there will be a change of authorities in our CD. After four years of hard work it is important to step down and give other members the opportunity to have a go at teachers’ development. If you have been a member for some time already or even if you have just become a member, remember that working for APIBA is one of the most enriching experiences you may have in your professions, as you learn from and with lots of other colleagues who unselfishly share their knowledge and ideas with you. At least this is how it has always worked for me and for this I am truly grateful.

I would also like to invite you once again to participate in our newsletter. If you like to write, if you have written something related to language teaching, send it to us to include it in our next newsletter.

 Finally, remember that we are also spreading news about events related to our profession through our monthly APIBA NEWS.
